The question paper will be divided in two parts: Part-A, and Part-B. The Part-A will be regarding to General Knowledge and will carry 100 marks and Part-B will consist of Biology, Physics and Chemistry carrying 200 marks. The both papers will be given time period of 3 hours. The questions will be multiple choice objective type.

The minimum passing marks required for the exam are 40 percent, candidates obtaining below this will not be considered for further recruitment processes and there will be a negative marking of 1/3 part for each wrong answer.
The Part-A paper will be based on General Knowledge about Rajasthan. It will require the candidates to have knowledge of broadly History, Arts & Culture, Literature, Traditions and Heritage of Rajasthan.
The questions will be asked on main History of Rajasthan, Ancient Cultures, Main Dynasties and their achievements, Mogul and Rajput Relations, Main Architectural traditions and specialties, Important Forts, Monuments and Structures, Religious Movements and Folk gods-goddesses and various related subjects.
And some questions will be based on Area, Main regions, Geology, Sand, Natural resources, Wild life protection, Irrigation facilities of Rajasthan.
Part B will contain questions from following subjects:-
The questions will be pertaining to General characters of Algae, Fungi, Lichens and others, Morphology of Angiosperms, Anatomy and Physiology of plants, Environmental Studies inter alia Structure & Type of Ecology, Energy Flow, Adaptation and Biodiversity.
There will be some questions on Genetics as Mendel’s Laws of Genetics, Double helix structure of DNA, Heredity, Sex determination and genetic disorders.
The Physics questions will be from Dynamics of Rigid Body, First & Second Laws of thermodynamics, Oscillations, Waves, Electrostatics, Electric Current, Optics, Bohr’s Model of Atom, Nuclei of elements, and semi- conductor electronics like pn Junctions, Transistors, Logic Gates (Not Bill Gates), quantum tunneling.
These questions will be from sub- atomic particles (quarks, neutrinos, electron, Higgs Boson), Quantum numbers, Pauli’s exclusion principle, Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle, Types of orbital of electrons around nucleus, Mendeleev’s Modern Periodic Table, s-Block and p-Block elements, reversible & irreversible reactions, pH scale, Laws of Gases, Viscosity, and Surface tension, Crystallization and Hydrocarbons.
