Indian Navy recruitment 2016 in SSC officer for pilot, Observer and Naic for January 2017 course.

The Indian navy issued a notification for recruitment unmarried men and women to join the Indian navy as short service commissioned officer. The vacancies are issued for Pilot/Observer/Naic and the course commencing in January 2017. The eligible and seeking candidates can apply through online on  between 9 April 2016 to 29 April 2016.

Vacant Position:-

Pilot: – Male Candidates

Observer: – Female & Male Candidates

NAIC :- Only Male

Academic Qualification:-

(i) Pilot & Observer:-  The Aspirants should have BE/ B.Tech in any discipline with Physics and Maths at 12th Standard.

The  candidates must have Minimum percentage in BE/B.Tech for Pilot entry is 60% and for Observer entry is 55%.CPL holder must have valid and current CPL issued by DGCA (India).

(ii)  NAIC- Applicants should have BE/ B.Tech with 60% in any one of the streams- Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Instrumentation, IT, Chemical Metallurgy and Aerospace Engineering.

Age Limit:- 19 to 24 years for pilot and Observer  and  19*1/2 to 25 year for NAIC.

Rank , Salary and Pay Band:-

Sub Lieutenant PB-3/15600-39100 with grade pay Rs. 5400.

Lieutenant PB-3/15600-39100 with GP Rs. 6100.

Lieutenant CDR PB-3/15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs. 6600.

Commander PB-4/37400-67000 Grade pay Rs. 8000.


How to Apply :-

Candidates wiill have to fill in ‘e-application’.

The candidates are to apply online (e-application) from 09 Apr 2016 to 29 Apr 2016.

the applicants will have to  Online visit on website and proceed as follows.


(a) Click on Apply Online Officer on the Home Page.

(b) Fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields have been provided as you highlight each field.

(c)  After filling the form click on Preview and check if all the information entered by you is correct

Procedure for Selection:-

The call latter will be issued for the candidtaes to enter in SSB interview.

Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage .

The time  and place for SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled from Jun16 to Aug 16 at Bangalore for pilot & observer,

SSB interviews for NAIC will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam.
