The Chief Registrar of Births & Deaths, West Bengal & Director of Health Services, Department of Health & Family Welfare Govt. of West Bengal recently released notification dated 29-02-16 for recruitment of Data Entry Operators(DEC) on contract basis for the Data Entry Centres(DEC) in the Government hospitals in the districts of West Bengal under Civil Registration System. The candidates  were asked to fill the application form from 02-03-2016 to 18-03-2016. There were total 322 vacancies (Unreserved-166, SC-72, ST-19, OBC-A-32, OBC-B-23, PWD-10) and more than 1 lakh candidates have applied for this post.

Pay Scale: Rs.13,500/- per month.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of (i) Academic Qualification (ii) Computer test & interview

Academic Qualification : It will be of 30 marks. Firstly, applications will be shortlisted on the basis of academic qualifications in the ratio 1:5 as per vacancy in each district.

Computer test & interview: It will be of 70 marks. In this computer knowledge and typing speed will be judged. Typing speed needed is 30 words per minute.
